Olio Flaminio: tradition, innovation and design

Olio Flaminio: tradition, innovation and design

The Umbrian company, Società Agricola Trevi “Il Frantoio”, is bringing together 59 fellow olive growing companies and it stands out for its commitment and seriousness as producer of extremely high quality extra virgin olive oil and as company specialized in the constant search for the most valued typical Umbrian products. To this end it has carefully studied and designed three new and modern package designs for Olio Flaminio, the main ingredient for the Italian table. The first packaging provides notable impact for two reasons; first of all the non-standard measure of the bottle of Olio Flaminio D.O.P at 1.5 litres and then its arrangement within the packaging itself. It is a simple and elegant design dominated by the green of the countryside and nature as well as an olive tree, which is a prominent element in the geography of the region and a main player in its history and economy. This all contrasts with the black of the asphalt, out of which stand the traffic lights, an urban symbol for excellence, the green light of which flows out the neck of the Flaminio bottle.  This is a revisiting of “urban” oil because oil is not only seen as a condiment anymore but as a true and proper object of design. This packaging, created by the marketing office of Società Agricola Trevi, has been published as a preview on the site www.packagingoftheworld.com and has been on show at Lux Pack, a luxury packaging exhibition, which took place at the Principality of Monaco from the 24th to the 26th October. This packaging can be seen as a practical and tasteful gift for use during the whole year or as an original gift for the most special of all festivals… Easter!
